  Tim and Sara

Tim and Sara had only known each other a short time when she became ill.  They were planning to be married when they found out that Sara's kidneys were failing.  The doctors told Sara that she needed to have a kidney transplant, and that while waiting for a kidney she would have to be on dialysis.  Tim knew in his heart that he would be a perfect match to donate his kidney to Sara, so he volunteered right away to take the tests.  To the surprise of all the doctors, he was indeed a perfect match.  Sara was very touched that he would go through so much pain for her.  Tim quit his job in Nebraska and moved to Denver and they were married in early August.  By the end of August the doctors at University Hospital took one kidney from Tim and placed it into Sara.  The young newlywed couple shared a hospital room for seven days.  Upon leaving the hospital, they moved into a townhome at CHF, where they recovered from their operations and began attending school.  With the help and support of CHF, now both are healthy and have very good jobs.  Sara is currently in nursing school and will graduate as an RN soon.  In June of 2007, Tim and Sara announced that they were having a house built and would be moving soon.  They were very excited and yet a little anxious to be graduating and moving away from the guidance and support they had known for the last couple of years.  In July of 2007, they moved into their beautiful, brand new home.  We are so happy for their accomplishements and wish them continued success.
